With a majority Latinix population\, the city ranks 2nd in the state for population density with 25% of residents living below the poverty line. A representative will talk about their work to address the the environmental and public health threats in their community. Through organizing and political action they have been successful in cleaning air pollution hot spots\, stopping the transport of dangerous fuels by trains through their community and a diesel power plant. \n
