SUMMARY:Stuart Bogie (Music Performance)
DESCRIPTION: \nJoin acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Stuart Bogie for an evening of music and words. \nStuart Bogie was born in Evanston\, Illinois and studied music at the University of Michigan and Interlochen Art Academy. He has toured and recorded extensively with the groups Antibalas\, Arcade Fire\, TV on the Radio\, Iron and Wine\, among others\, and performed as the featured soloist in the original Broadway production of Fela!\, directed by Bill T Jones. \nAs a composer and arranger\, he scored the Oscar-nominated documentary How To Survive a Plague which featured performances by the Kronos quartet alongside Bogie’s group Superhuman Happiness. He has served as music director for concerts at the BAM Opera House and the Lincoln Center Out of Doors series. He is a regular collaborator and improvisor through the New York music world\, performing on woodwinds and keyboards. \n
