DESCRIPTION: \nJoin Portsmouth’s Leftist Marching Band in a day-long workshop aimed at helping support interested musicians to start up their own local marching band to support resistance efforts\, drawing on lessons from LMB’s 21+ years of experience. This workshop will include stories about how the band came to be\, what kinds of things to consider in starting your own group\, and share some tips about organizing your friends. Diverse instruments and performance talents welcome and opportunities to play music throughout the day too. The Leftist Marching Band is a group of musicians\, dancers\, and baton twirlers who support good causes. They play at protests\, marches\, food pantry collection days\, and more!
