SUMMARY:Palestine Film Series Launch Event
DESCRIPTION: \nJoin us at 6pm at the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth for the launch of our October film series focused on deepening our understanding of the struggle for Palestinian freedom and an end to the mass atrocities ongoing in Gaza. At this launch session\, we will have a 30-minute introductory conversation\, and then participate in the first session of the “Short Course on Palestine” with Rashid Khalidi\, which we encourage those joining the film series to also participate in. \nStarting in October\, we will be screening and discussion one film weekly in both Tamworth and North Conway. Films will include No Other Land\, Israelism\, and The Encampments. At the end of the series\, we will be gathering across towns to discuss local strategies that can make a difference at this critical moment. Organized by the Mount Washington Valley Resistance and the World Fellowship Center. \nTamworth screenings will be held each Thursday\, October 9-30\, 6-8pm\, at the Cook Memorial Library.
